Daily Bread Corona Virus Update – Essential Workers

Dear Volunteers and Friends of Daily Bread,

This is a short update to let everyone know that Daily Bread remains open during the Stay at Home order providing essential services to our neighbors in need. This clearly follows from the guidelines issued by the State of Florida regarding the Safer at Home executive order which includes:

Workers who support food, shelter, and social services, and other necessities of life for needy groups and individuals, including in-need populations

At Daily Bread we have the privilege and responsibility to provide food, social services, and other necessities of life to in-need populations. We will continue to do so thanks to our hard-working staff, intrepid volunteers, and the support of the wider community.

We have adjusted our operations so that everyone at Daily Bread can be as safe as possible. This means strictly following the 6 feet social distance rule and supplying masks to any staff and volunteers engaging in client interactions. We support any of our volunteers who have made the decision to refrain from volunteering at this time.

Thank you to the volunteers who can continue helping us in our mission which is more important now than ever! You are among the essential workers and are allowed by law to come to Daily Bread to volunteer. If needed we will provide a letter which indicates your status as an essential worker.

In these days when we are asked to stay at home, please pray for all of our neighbors in need who have no home to stay in. We will continue to do what we can to help them.

Thank you for your prayers and support!
