Cooks and Food Prep – Needed every day of the year, usually volunteer for a specific day of the week. Time is from 7AM to 1030AM.

Food Rescue Workers – Needed every day of the year, (almost). Pick up donated foods from assigned donors, (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.) on an appointment time basis. Average time required is 1 to 2 hours per day and need own transportation.

Serving Groups – primarily needed on Sundays, to serve food to clients and assist with the kitchen cleanup afterward. Groups preferably will be comprised of six to ten people. Time is from 1030AM to 230PM.

Hygiene volunteers – no previous experience required. The primary duties include management of the daily shower list, distribution of towels, washcloths, soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and clothing, arranging for client laundry to be done and distribution of mail. Time is from 830AM to 130PM.

Administrative volunteers – we have a daily need for someone to assist with general office duties, including use of WORD and EXCEL software programs on our computers, management of files, assistance in fulfillment of miscellaneous projects and other duties to assist the Executive Director and Assistant Director.

Kitchen Building Managers – preferably someone who has volunteered and knows how Daily Bread operates. The primary duties include answering the telephone, communicating with the warehouse to obtain needed foods or supplies to provide the daily meal, check in community service volunteers, interface with staff to facilitate a smooth running operation, handle problems with the physical plant as they arise, interacting with the food preparation and cooks as well as serving and clean-up volunteers. Time is from 730AM to 230PM.

Warehouse Building Managers – preferably someone who has volunteered as a food rescue worker and knows how Daily Bread operates. The primary duties include answering the telephone, communicating with the kitchen to deliver needed foods or supplies to provide the daily meal, check in community service volunteers, interface with staff to facilitate a smooth running operation, handle problems with the physical plant as they arise, interacting with the food rescue and food partner groups. Time is from 7AM to NOON.
